The "Lies" video
features krump by
"Rize's" Lil' C and the direction of critically
acclaimed choreographer Sarah Elgart. Shot in South Central
LA, the video contains disturbing images of the KKK; suggesting
that hatred and intolerance are taught to our children while
exploring the irony that as a race most of our earliest roots
lie in Africa.
"Lies"
had its debut in 2007 at the International Hollywood Film
Festival and is the first video to ever win 'Best in
Show/BestDirection" from the Accolades film
competition.
"Luna is to rock what Talib Kweli
is to hip-hop: Her lyrics are relevant and socially conscious,
but her music is so damn seductive that you never feel as
though you're being clobbered by a "message." Take
"Lies," the opening track... in between
the jumpy dance groove and catchy melody, Luna takes the Klan
to task, asking "when the white masks come off, will
the KKK still have the bitty balls to say their lies?"
Fighting words have never sounded so sweet." -
